Happy Monday, partners! Welcome to your weekly Monday Memo. This week we have compiled a variety of resources for healthcare providers, juvenile justice professionals, and nonprofit leaders, as well as a variety of professional development opportunities and events to support wellbeing. Before we dive in, here are some reminders and updates from the RG Team:
RG UPDATES
September Lunch and Learn Recording Available Now! Thank you to those of you who joined our September Lunch and Learn on GUIDE’s Community United in Prevention program, which engages LGBTQIA+ young adults (18–25) to address health disparities related to heavy and binge drinking. The program fosters a safer culture around alcohol use through monthly virtual meetings and community action plans. Thank you to Andrew Williamson for sharing with our network!
September Highlights:
Free Your Feels Suicide Prevention Resource Toolkit! September is National Suicide Prevention Month — a time for communities to come together, break stigma, and share resources. Check out the Free Your Feels toolkit for resources on suicide prevention and awareness.
September 15th also kicks off the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to celebrate the rich histories, cultures, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities. The celebration runs through October 15th and honors the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries as well as the vibrant traditions that continue to shape our communities today. Check out RG’s list of mental health resources for Hispanic/Latinx communities.

Please Note: Rounds 1 and 4 will not have an Update Call this week since we convened in person for our Strategic Planning Days earlier this month.
Trauma-Informed Systems Workshop for Coalition Leads: These virtual workshops hosted by the Center of Excellence for Behavioral Health and Wellbeing will cover building systems that recognize the impact of trauma, identify its signs, and integrate practices that prevent re-traumatization.

Coalition Highlights
Resilient Gwinnett: GUIDE, Inc, partner with Resilient Gwinnett, is hosting a variety of Prevention Trainings! These trainings will be held virtually from 10 AM-4 PM EST on October 21, October 23, October 29, November 12, and November 19. Training topics are fundamentals of prevention, cultural competency for the prevention professional, ethics in the prevention field, and communication skills for the prevention professional. South Georgia Coalition Rebrand! South Georgia Wellbeing Alliance: Resilient and United Communities of South Georgia have renamed to South Georgia Wellbeing Alliance. Check out their new logo! Their coalition is also hosting the Fall 2025 Day of Caring on October 24 from 7:45 AM – 1 PM at Unity Park. This event supports partner nonprofits and the community by gathering volunteers to complete service projects. Register here.
Behavioral Healthcare
The Center for Interrelational Science and Pediatrics offers new courses supporting infant and child behavioral healthcare with interactive discussions and case reviews. Topics include:
“Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health: Assessing Trauma and Initiating Treatment Early in Development.” This training on September 23rd from 12-1pm will follow the ECHO model and covers trauma-informed care for infants and young children experiencing adversity. Register here for free.
“Practical Interventions to Support Mental and Behavioral Health in the Pediatric Primary Care Office.” This training on September 30th from 12-1pm covers mental health in school-age children and emerging young adults and strategies for integrating practical interventions within a primary care setting. CBT for Anxiety in Adult Primary Care Course: The REACH Institute is offering a new one-day training, CBT for Anxiety in Adult Primary Care, on Friday, November 7th from 9AM – 5PM ET. This interactive course will equip providers to screen, assess, and apply evidence-based CBT techniques for anxiety in primary care, while also recognizing when patients may need specialty care. Changing Lanes Intervention Human Services Virtual care from anywhere! Changing Lanes Intervention Human Services is now accepting new clients. The mental and behavioral health provider, based in Fayetteville, GA, assists individuals and children statewide for mental health, substance abuse, autism and intellectual disabilities. Services are also now available in Spanish, and can be offered virtually, or in-home. More information and a free consultation can be scheduled via their website. Juvenile Justice
TRAUMA-INFORMED COURTROOM PRACTICES: A BENCH CARD FOR JUDGES: This guide created by National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges details trauma-informed courtroom practices. The guide includes highlights on understanding trauma, responding to trauma in the courtroom, and more. Read through the guide here. Please share widely with your partners in Juvenile Justice!

Publications and Releases - Georgia Health Initiative: Our partners at Georgia Health Initiative have put together valuable and informational resources and reports on supporting the health of all Georgians. Resources include insights on Medicaid in Georgia, system focused efforts to improve maternal health in Georgia, communicating about health equity. Explore the various resources here.
Professional Development and Events
The Back-to-School Fall Learning Series: The School-Based Health Alliance is holding a free, virtual learning series to explore how schools, families, and school-based health centers can work together to support happy and healthy kids. This 16-part series will take place September 30, October 2, October 7, October 9, October 14, October 28, and October 30 from 12 PM-1:15 PM ET and 2-3:15 PM ET. NeuroArts: How the Arts Transform Body, Brain & Spirit: Join the Woodruff Arts Center in Atlanta on October 13 from 5-7 PM for cocktails and discussion on how arts can transform the body, brain, and spirit. The event is free, register here.
Unapologetic Wellness: Black Women Embracing Resistance & Resilience: This conference hosted by Counseling Black Women will be November 7 from 8:30AM-4:30PM at the Academy of Medicine in Atlanta. This event is for all mental health professionals who serve Black women and attendees will learn Resistance and Resilience strategies to support Black women’s mental wellness. Register here.
