Lena Garrard has been serving as an AmeriCorps VISTA with Resilient Communities of East Georgia (RCEG) since the Fall of 2025. At RCEG, she provides guidance and support to the leaders of Resilient Teens—a youth initiative focused on building leadership, resilience, and community engagement.

She also provides marketing support for RCEG through social media and website management, email marketing, and community outreach.

A recent graduate of Augusta University, Lena holds a bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Leadership and Administration with a minor in Business Administration. Her passion for service runs deep—she’s been volunteering and giving back to her community for as long as she can remember.

When she is not serving, Lena can be found taking care of her house plants, visiting local coffee shops with her husband or having a movie night with her friends and family.
